Privacy Policy

The short version. All About Parker is a free community guide to Parker County, Texas. We collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party ad trackers. The only personal information we store is what you give us when you create an account or claim a business.

Who we are

All About Parker ("we", "us") is a free community guide built and operated by The Food KAB LLC, the local company that also runs Food KAB. We operate the website at allaboutparker.com and the All About Parker app. You can reach us any time at allaboutparkercounty@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account information. If you create an account or claim a business listing, we store your email address (and, optionally, a display name) so we can sign you in, verify your claim, and contact you about it. Authentication and password handling are managed by our backend provider, Supabase.
Business-claim details. When you claim a listing, we record which listing you claimed and the email you used, so an administrator can verify and approve the claim.
Anonymous usage analytics. To understand which parts of the guide are useful, we record first-party events such as screen views and searches. Each device is given a random, anonymous identifier stored on your own device; it is not tied to your name and resets if you clear app data. We attach your user ID to these events only while you are signed in.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

How we use it

To provide the directory, accounts, and the business-claim process.
To send you transactional emails about a claim you submitted (for example, "we received your claim" and "your dashboard is ready"). Email is sent through our provider, Resend.
To measure aggregate usage and improve the app.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that run the app on our behalf — currently Supabase (database, authentication, hosting) and Resend (transactional email) — and only as needed to operate the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of any "sale" of personal information (we do not sell it). To exercise any of these rights, email us at allaboutparkercounty@gmail.com and we'll respond.

Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app: open your dashboard (business owner, event organizer, or admin) and choose Delete account. This removes your account and personal data; specials you posted are deleted, and event posts are removed or unlinked from you. You can also email us and we'll take care of it.
Reset analytics. Clearing the app's data resets the anonymous device identifier described above.

Data retention

We keep account and claim information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and delete it on request. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate.

Children

All About Parker is a general-audience community guide and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
